The Globalstar phone measures 225cc in total volume and weighs 200 grams (including battery). The height is 135 mm, the width is 55 mm and the thickness is 37 mm. The antenna, when held in a vertical position, communicates with the Globalstar satellite at elevations more than 10 degrees above the horizon. The Globalstar antenna rotates and stows into the handset for convenience when not in use.
Smaller than most cordless phones, the Globalstar GSP 1700 Handheld Phone gives you crystal-clear digital satellite voice connections, connects to cellular systems where available, and provides real-world Internet and E-mail Access with the optional Globalstar Data Kit. A full range of optional accessories including Vehicle Kits, as well as many innovative Globalstar approved third-party products help customize a solution to keep you in contact and in control.
• If the customer deactivates before the term is complete, the customer will be charged a cancellation fee of $39.99 times the number of remaining months. At the end of the 12-month term, the customer will automatically be transferred to the lowest retail airtime plan unless otherwise specified. Evolution II Plan is not designed for always-on data communications and does not qualify for Burst Data Sessions. In order to manage its network fairly, Globalstar can identify heavy users, analyze the cause of the high usage and consider how best to advise individual users to modify their patterns and habits.
