Asia Cell/Iraqna SIM Card For Iraq The Iraqna Asia Cell pre-paid international SIM card is a great way to communicate while in Iraq. Because the Iraq SIM Card will need to be reloaded within 17 days of activation in order to remain active, this SIM may not be practical for all users.
Unfortunately at this time InTouch Smartcards does not offer Iraqna - Asia Cell SIM reloads. NOTE:Your Asia Cell / Iraqna SIM Card (Asia Cell recently took over Iraqna) will require a unlocked GSM phone with a frequency of 900. If you do not already own an unlocked GSM phone consider purchasing one along with your SIM Card.

Service Life:
Your SIM card for Iraq must be reloaded within 17 days of activation. If the SIM is not reloaded within this time period the credit on the SIM card will expire and the account will be deactivated.
SIM Card Activation:
Upon arrival in Iraq, detach the SIM card from its plastic package and insert it into your phone. Follow the guidelines from your cell phone manual if you have trouble inserting your SIM. You will receive two security codes (PIN code and PUK code). When you turn on the phone, enter your pin and follow the prompts to register your service. Your PIN code is requested every time you turn your phone one. If you prefer you can change or turn off your PIN code (check your cell phone manual for details). When a PIN code is entered incorrectly three consecutive times, the SIM card will be blocked. In order to unblock the SIM card, you will have to follow your phone owner's manual to use the PUK code to unblock your phone. After entering your PIN code or (default "0000") dial 333 press SEND to confirm activation.
Attention:
Your SIM Card will be activated after you make your first outbound call upon arrival in Iraq. It is extremely important that you do not activate this SIM until you have a source for reload codes because you will only have 17 days before your account is suspended if it is not reloaded

Calling your new number:
Your phone number Can be found on a small white card included in the packaging next to the SIM where your PIN and PUK number is located. Your phone number is the number after MSISDN. To receive calls from The USA drop the 0 and add 011 964 to the rest of your number.
Recharging your SIM card account:
To use this SIM you will need to purchase a "Reload Voucher"(scratch-card). You can find these scratch cards near the cash register in gas stations, newspaper stands or at Asiacell or Iraqna branded shops.

To recharge your account:
Scratch off the layer on the new voucher card, and punch in the new code following the instructions on the reload card, this will credit your SIM.
