While the Mobal International SIM Card is great for emergencies, it is certainly not as economical for voice calls as our local prepaid (and even our global roaming prepaid) SIM cards.  However, once activated the SIM is always on and available for use, providing you with one more level of security and convenience on your next trip overseas.     Rates       Activation Instructions     Your cell phone number can be found on the back of the gray SIM card packet.  You will need to activate your Mobal International SIM Card by calling InTouch Smartcards at 1-703-222-7161 x115.  After activation, your SIM card will be ready to use. Follow the included instructions to activate your SIM card Put the Mobal International SIM Card into the cell phone* Be sure that battery is charged and turn on your phone Enter the PIN (if prompted) which is located on the same sticker as your phone number Start calling** When Using Data Capabilities:  Your first MB of data downloads is already included, additional data charges will show up on the credit card you provided when you registered the SIM card. *You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized Mobal International SIM Card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the SIM card into your cell phone with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing the metal contacts of your phone. **When calling overseas from the US to your UK-based cell phone number, callers will need to dial "011" followed by the country code "44" and then your cell phone number.  To call abroad from most countries simply dial "00" followed by the country code and phone number. **Your phone may or may not prompt you for a PIN code (there is no predefined PIN with this SIM card).  The PUK is only required to unblock your phone if you enter in a PIN code incorrectly 3 times in a row.  Follow your cell phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your phone along with PIN2. Please Note:  The Mobal International SIM Card gives you a UK-based phone number.  If you would like to make it easier for callers from the US to reach you while traveling overseas, our SmartForward service gives you a US number that callers all over the world can dial to reach you more easily.  For more information click here.     GPRS Capabilities     With GPRS, you pay for the amount of information you receive and send, at a cost of £4 (about $20) per megabyte.  The following guide shows what this roughly equates to:   One megabyte approximately equals = 1200 WAP pages or 20 web pages or 100 emails without attachments or 10 emails with a one page attachment or 1 email with a PowerPoint presentation attachment You will be charged for the size of emails or web pages you download or send as well as the additional data required to control the sending and receiving of information.  For billing purposes, a megabyte is 1,048,573 bytes. To use this SIM card to make voice calls, simply insert the SIM card into your phone after calling InTouch SmartCards to activate the SIM.  You will be ready to make and receive calls, but in order to use this SIM for data you will need to adjust your phone's data settings.
