To receive your full call credit you will need to first visit the Virgin UK website to register your SIM or you will need to purchase a reload voucher after you arrive in The UK.
Your UK Virgin cell phone number will be printed on the back of your UK SIM card package. Callers will not be able to leave you messages until after you arrive in The UK and follow the below instructions to activate your SIM:
Be sure that battery is charged Turn on your phone Set you cell phone to the GSM 900/1800 frequency (as needed)Insert the UK Virgin mobile SIM chip into the cellular phone *Enter PIN code Start calling **
Customer service with your UK Virgin Mobile SIM card is available 24/7 simply by dialing 789 from the cell phone or 08456000 789 from a landline.
* You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized UK SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the UK SIM card into your international cell phone with the gold contacts of the UK SIM card facing the metal contacts of your international cellular phone.
** When calling overseas from the United States to your UK cellular phone number callers will need to dial 011 followed by the country code 44 and then your UK cell phone number, omitting the first 0 (zero). To call abroad from your UK cell phone simply dial 00 followed by the country code and phone number. To call InTouchSmartcards you would dial 0017032227161.
From time to time, your prepaid UK Virgin Mobile SIM card may need to be recharged with airtime credit. In order to credit your UK Virgin Mobile SIM card with additional airtime, simply
1. Purchase a Virgin Mobile airtime (Top-up card) voucher from a Kiosk or authorized Virgin dealer.
2. Scratch off the gray panel to reveal your airtime top-up pin code.
3. Phone 789 (free) from your phone and follow the instructions.
To add airtime to your UK Virgin Mobile SIM, you can also register you credit card by dialing 789 from your GSM cellphone. You can check your balance anytime while in the UK for free by dialing 798 from your cell phone.
The Virgin Mobile SIM card is valid for a period of 180 from activation (when you arrive in the UK or 90 days from the last time you added talk time (whichever is later).
